It also opens the other script if it isn't already open.
After re-reading,I guess you mean "open for editing" (and SciTE4AHK starts up at this point; and wasn't running before - or activates with the now opened script), not "open = run" ?!
Sounds like a misconfiguration of the handling of
.ahk files. Probably this needs to be fixed in the registry - possibly related:
https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/FAQ.htm#rightclick; the fix could look similar.

Works here. Did you set
File > Encoding to
UTF-8 with BOM ?

hy fincs,
thank you for the new version.
But now my syntax highlightning doesnt work any longer. At the first install I had to permit the antivir to install. I also reinstalled, the antivir didnt ask any longer. but the syntax hightlighting ist gonge, even when I install the version from 2014.
In Scite4AHK I am not able to choose a language. I go on AHK, but there isnt a hook in front of autohotkey after that.
Do you know how I possibly could fix this?
Thank you!
Is there a possiblity to delete all files of the old installation and try to install from scratch?

Hello fincs, can you please explain how use this new feature:
Added support for passing parameters to debugged scripts.
I did not find anything about it in SciTE help.

The sciTE 4 Autohotkey settings doesnt work even if i deleted the Scite in Documents\AutoHotkey. So the style is always black and white.
The Autocomplete doesnt work
The AutoIndent doesnt work
The Calltip functionality has been temporarily removed as a side effect of the new syntax definition autogeneration, as well as SciTE limitations....
That's all at first, but I haven't found out what else
Im very disappointed with this version 3.1 and have to go back to version 300601

Had the same problems. Deinstall Scite4ahk complete, then install it completly new. This helped for me.

Yes, thats how I did it. I also had Scite4Autoit installed, I uninstalled this too.
going back to the old version wasnt a solution for me. It was also broken after installing the new version.

Here is another issue i have just found. When i use window spy, i have to hold control or shift to freeze the information. It's very inconvenient. Don't make the user hold any key!
Just press once!

That's the standard
Window Spy behaviour (as included with a AutoHotKey installation), afaics. I don't think that it has much to do with Scite4AHK, except that this editor provides a separate copy of it (in the 'tools' folder), and a button to start it. Since
Window Spy is open source and uncompiled, you can surely edit it to match your personal preferences. That's the beauty of AHK scripts.

Did you look in the
WindowSpy.ahk source code for the hotkeys you want to change? When found, change them to toggle hotkeys, or whatever you have in mind.

@fincs
I really appreciate the update. It's a shame about the Calltip functionality. Really hope that can be resolved soon.

I had to delete "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.ahk\OpenWithProgids" to get the old R-Click options of Run, Compile, etc. back. Before that I tried repairing my installation of AHK, which may or may not have been necessary.

I just noticed that the check "Use tabs" changes of state in the "Indentation Settings" are not saved to SciTEUser.properties "use.tabs".
Should it be saved, normally?

I don't think any of the standard SciTE (not 4ahk) menu options write back to a properties file. I think that dialog is a standard SciTE feature. Indentation settings can vary for different file extensions. I think the dialog is intended to make a temporary change for the current buffer only.

Thanks lexikos. I did not have this understanding.
