Debug failures for TOOLBOX, "debug a currently running script"

Using SciTe4Autohotkey. Problem: Debug failures for TOOLBOX, "debug a currently running script"

The debug feature (F7) Always works to start to debug a script.

The TOOL MENU's, "debug a currently running script", ctrl-shift-F7, works only periodically with failure the common result
In the Tools Menu, the first 9 listings are greyed out and will not activate.

My method is to put a msgbox in the script and then try to start the debugger when it displays the message. This mostly doesn't work for me.
This is a relatively recent problem. and worked normally a week ago

I have:
I have downloaded the newest Autohotkey download.
I had downloaded SciTe4 in April 2021
uninstalled SciTe4 and Autohotkey and reinstalled them with two updates for SciTe4.
unloaded all scripts multiple times.
Didn't help.


Anyone with a clue?
