Auto HotKey - learning/guide

Post by adrenalinskr » 30 Jun 2021, 11:28

Instead of bombarding with questions — I am here to ask one simple question.

Are there any books/videos that can give me the training wheels to start learning?

It's a shame that more members of the community are not aware of more mainstream promoters (people promoting beyond just the forum) of AHK. In fact, I think it's problematic to be oblivious to or pretend to ignore such promoters of the AHK language, as arguably these very advocates will be needed (else other users will have to replace them) if AHK v2 has any hope of catching on to the same level anytime soon.

Jack Dunning has written several books on AHK v1. In addition, he has a blog, that is such a treasure of sample scripts and explanations that it can be considered an alternative help resource. He also posts on this website from time to time. Check out his websites below:

Joe Glines has a YouTube channel, blog, and Udemy courses on AHK v1. In addition, he posts on this website.

There are also a significant number of and very useful AHK v1 videos on YouTube from CivReborn (aka Hellbent). You can find posts from Hellbent on this website.
