Kind of seems like there are/were volunteers, just for different languages. I suppose a decision should be made, or will this stay open?

Although the conversation was started for hindi... I think it's down to if we want to add dutch or arabic. I think arabic makes the most sense currently for the next language since it is the most different of the two with the current languages offered.

Looking into it a bit further, the issue of Hindi might be a bit more complicated than we know, and where English is often used. Of course a native speaker could shed more light on it than I. At some point in the future, you can always look at the stats and give it another go for various languages. Maybe at this time, it would better to go with Arabic, as you do have a volunteer.

Agreed.
I'll post in the post staff forums just to see if there are any reservations. Wait 1-2 weeks and see (give people time to see and reply), then go ahead and make the changes.

If Dutch is added, I'll be able to moderate it too. However Wikipedia says >90% of Dutchies consider English their second language, so we might as well use it.

Thanks for the offer! I'll list you in the first post as well.
I'm sorry, I meant to set this topic as "paused". We had a staff discussion and we've concluded to not add any new languages at the moment.

Sure, I'll add you to the list.
I doubt we'll move on new languages, but maybe in the future.

What kind of problem is there that will make you think negatively about it? As a Turk, I would like to help.

Thanks, I will add you to the list.
We don't want to take on more than we can handle. Many other popular languages likely don't even support as many languages in their official forums...
Also, the languages list gets longer and longer may be counter-intuitive to support so many... :?

From this perspective, I understand better what you mean. At the very least, I can make a recommendation to determine which of these options would be appropriate and to evaluate those who would like to volunteer.
*Those selected voluntarily can translate certain "AHK" documents into their language. Which language is suitable for the forum will be determined by the number of translations and the demand rates. Even if they are not accepted due to translation and demand rates, their work will always be listed as a guide for that language.

There may be many different issues that I am not seeing. While reading your answer, this idea came to my mind and I wanted to share it. :)

Thanks for sharing, yes. it's bit of a conundrum. If we open it up, will there be more demand? or should there be demand to open it up... :P
We've debated this, came to the conclusion that it's best to leave it status quo for now.

I run for Italian language.
AHK is so little-known in Italy, and it's so powerful...
I'm ok with the fact that at the moment you aren't opening any new language.
We'll see in the future...

@joedf Is it possible to get the help file(s) in word-mode or in wich mode they are created? At the end of december I don't have to work, so perhaps i would translate some pages of the help

@roeleboele They are essentially in HTML...
The current recommended way to translate is to use the OmegaT software.
Here's an example of the spanish translation: https://github.com/ahkscript/AHK-Docs_ES

the original english version files are here:
https://github.com/Lexikos/AutoHotkey_L-Docs/tree/v1

If you are serious to translate it into Dutch (I believe you said), then perhaps @Ragnar Could set up a dutch translation project.
Are you interested? I was translating it to french, but havent had too much progress. Life happens... maybe one day :P
