I haven't received the activation E-mail messages either. The ID I'd intended to use was BunsenH. I also tried a different ID (BunsenH2) with a different E-mail address in case the problem was something like erroneous spam-blocking on the first account/server; you can go ahead and delete that one if you want to keep your database tidy.

Being wary of having had my addy harvested on other sites, I prefer to use a unique addy for registration.

So, I initially tried to register using [email protected] but it failed with...

sql error: Unknown column 'poster_ip' in 'field list' [1054]

I tried again with [email protected] (without the dot), but that failed also.

Tried with [10 characters here]@mydomain, and it worked.

Conclusion: There's a limit in the number of characters that can be used in an email address when registering on this site.

No problem, I still managed to register with a unique addy - just had to use fewer characters before the @ symbol.

As an aside, I received a second email notification of a reply to this thread, but if I click on the link provided I get presented with...

I am having problems with my password and it doesn't send me an e-mail to reset it. In fact, I have never gotten an e-mail from this forum since I registered a while ago. Maybe it has a problem with hotmail, but I can easily change that to a gmail address once I get my password reset. Username MegaloDon.
