Forcing clicks and text into specific app?

I have some scripts that do some clicks and insert text into apps, but if the user clicks away from that app, the clicks and text go to other places, but then I saw some AutoHotkey that seems to force the clicks and text to go into an app, even if it is out of focus. How does that work, what commands do I need to add to my scripts to make that happen?
