Re: Help with focus\select specific line from SysListView321

Post by Tomer » 30 May 2022, 02:14

@MrDoge thank for your help,
for the smaple here i using built-in listview,
the reason for that its to show my neends since for my real project im testing it on external listview (Active Directory Users and Computers) which not everyone have and can test it.

I tested your code and it seems to work well but if you could please make the findRowWithString to find not exactly the word letters but if it also contains part of the name,
so in the below sample code when i click "F1" to find row name "test" it will select\focus at first "test1" then if i click F1 again it will find next and select\focus "test2" and so on.

Thanks in advance!

Code: Select all

#NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.
#SingleInstance force
ListLines Off
SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.
SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.
SetBatchLines -1
#KeyHistory 0

LVwindowTitle := "Test" ; Adjust as needed

Gui, Font, s10
Gui, Add, ListView, r10, A|B
LV_Add("", "abc"  , "def")
LV_Add("", "ghi"  , "jkl")
Loop, 50
{
	LV_Add("", "test" A_Index, "mike" A_Index)
}
LV_ModifyCol(1, 50), LV_ModifyCol(2, 50)
Gui, Show,, %LVwindowTitle%

objLV := ExtListView_Initialize(LVwindowTitle)

f1::
row:=ExtListView_findRowWithString(objLV, "test") ; each F1 click will select\focus all rows start with "test" by order from "test1" to "test50"
if (row != -1) {
    ExtListView_EnsureVisible(objLV, row)
    ExtListView_ClickRow(objLV, row)
}

Return

ExtListView_findRowWithString(objLV, str, col:=0) {
    row:=0
    while (row < objLV.rows) {
        text:=ExtListView_GetItemText(objLV, row, col)
        if (text == str) { ;copy this function if you want case insensitive
            return row
        }
        row++
    }
    return -1

@Tomer
now this is a logic problem

Code: Select all

loop 1 {
  if only 1 row is selected,
    if text ~= "test([1-9][0-9]*)"
      toFind := "test" group1 + 1
      ; startSearchRow := 0 ; your choice if you want to start search from the top or no.
      break

  toFind := "test1"
  startSearchRow := 0
}
