HELP: AHK Portable

13 Mar 2024, 16:10

Good day all

I'm trying to allow AHK portable to run as if it were installed. I've got it to work on my windows 7 work PC (just cant remember how I did it). But now they have installed Windows 10 on the same PC and its not appearing the same, infact, my scripts aren't functioning as they should.

As an example, please have a look at the screenshots I provided to get an idea of what I'm looking to obtain.
Capture1 is what it looks like.
Capture2 is what I want it to look like. (I had to install AHK to achieve this) but on my work PC I cannot install any apps hence the portable AHK is being used but I cannot get it to run as if it were installed.
I know its not a deal breaker but its just not the same as before.
If I choose to open scripts with autohotkeyU32.exe then all the ahk files will have the green H block instead of the page with the H. like this it cannot be edited by right clicking on it. It then has to be edited at the system tray on the bottom right corner when its running. :-|
Please help

Are you allowed to edit the Registry on your work PC?
If not, the only alternative to the tray menu is to drag n 'drop AutoHotkey files to an open editor.
