Hello.
I have created some registry tweaks in Windows 10 for the Chrome browser. Unfortunately, whenever the browser updates those registry tweaks get lost and I need to re-add them. I was thinking of having AHK to automatically re-apply them after Chrome updates.
My question is if there is some method which will keep checking all the time if Chrome's chrome.exe file has changed. I need it to be as less cpu intensive as possible (avoid file check repetition with settimer, etc).
any ideas?
Method to check if file changed?
Re: Method to check if file changed?
Chrome won't update until it's restarted, so the most straight forward approach is to set up a "batch" styled script to launch the browser, followed by the (re-)application of the reg. edits from the same script a few seconds later.
