Lock Key not possible to identify

23 Apr 2021, 08:47

Hello,
I am a beginner so sorry if my question is addressed elsewhere, but I did not manage to find any clue anywhere.

There is a lock key on my keyboard. I do not manage to identify it or to remap it properly.
Using Key History, it shows when I click on it :

5B 15B d 124.55 LWin
4C 026 d 0.00 l
5B 15B u 0.05 LWin
4C 026 u 0.00 l

So I understand it is running Windows + L, but it does not help me to get a scan code of the key.
Would you have any idea how to identify it or to remap it.

Thanks a lot for your support,

Since that’s what the key history is showing, apparently that is what is actually being sent by the keyboard hardware itself, so it’s not a separate, addressable key. Any attempts to remap it will be subject to the discussion mikeyww pointed you to, which basically is that you can’t remap it without disabling the ability to lock your computer.

Thanks very much both,
It is very clear. I disabled the Lock as suggested and it is working well now.
