.ahk file won't run

So I downloaded someone else's .ahk files to run for a macro for Destiny 2. It said to just click on the .ahk file and it should open a seperate window and you type something in that window. The first command window never opened up for me. Im just wondering if there is something im doing wrong or something i need to change.

Did you just click a single time on the file, or did you double-click it to run it? Did you first install AutoHotkey? A .ahk file without AutoHotkey installed is nothing but a text file and will not execute as an AHK script.
