Ahk.dll for 2.0, and unusable donation button
Hi,
I know it's early, but wanted to check if we have an Ahk.dll/AutoHotkey.dll yet for calling parts of AutoHotkey from other languages.
Also, the page that pops up after installing the newest AutoHotkey

has a count of downloads and a donation button. The donation button doesn't do anything. I tried in Chrome and Edge.
How can I start donating to 2.x development?

I don't remember seeing this page when I installed v2 - and I have doubts that this page has anything to do with AutoHotkey.AHKExplorer wrote: ↑25 Feb 2023, 12:37Also, the page that pops up after installing the newest AutoHotkey

You can donate in general to the AutoHotkey Foundation here: https://www.autohotkey.com/foundation/#contributions
(used for servers and other running costs; there is nothing specific for v2 development)

Hi greg/swag,
I download this one here, and installed.

Should I do a manual run of Webroot and SuperantiSpyware?
Thanks greg, I'll send 50 to the foundation when I get upstairs later.
Btw, I happened to check the forum to see these responses. But it didn't show up in my email, even though I checked "Notify me when a reply is posted".

Don’t download from there. Download from this site.
You need to check the box for email. The notification checkbox means to show a notification when you are at this forum.AHKExplorer wrote: ↑ Btw, I happened to check the forum to see these responses. But it didn't show up in my email, even though I checked "Notify me when a reply is posted".

Ok, thanks boiler.
Re: Ahk.dll for 2.0, and unusable donation button
The site you downloaded from doesn’t even have a second “t” in “autohokey”.

Re: Ahk.dll for 2.0, and unusable donation button
boiler,
I didn't even notice that, until after you said to download here.
It showed up in my google search earlier, that's why downloaded and installed. But I'm not able to reproduce that search, even though the full google history is available, including the search string itself.
Anyway, thanks. Lesson learned. I uninstalled, ran Webroot (no threats detected), and am running SuperAntiSpyware now.
Looks like the answer to the dll question is no, for now.

I removed the links from your posts and quotes of your posts so those sites don’t get any more hits from visitors to this forum.

There is a v2 version of AHK_H/AutoHotkey.dll.AHKExplorer wrote: ↑ I know it's early, but wanted to check if we have an Ahk.dll/AutoHotkey.dll yet for calling parts of AutoHotkey from other languages.

Hi,
So the site we discussed is definitely hostile. Webroot and SuperAntiSpyware didn't catch it, but Malwarebytes did report RiskWare.ShortcutHijack in the Google Chrome shortcuts "GOOGLE CHROME.LNK". There was also some small startup program (with the word 'Mac' in it, I forgot the exact name) after installing that version of AutoHotkey. I exited from that program, and haven't seen it since.
I downloaded what looks like the official version at autohotkey dot com download. As with the infected program, it runs the "AutoHotkey Dash" script after installing, which has New script/Compile/Help files/Windows spy and other links.
Looks like everything's ok. Thanks greg/swag/boiler for the assistance, and probably for helping me avoid a painful reset of my PC.
